The Miguel Hernández University, established in 1996 is a Spanish Public University offering education, research and services facilitating the comprehensive development of its students. It is located in the province of Alicante. It is among the top 4 Spanish universities in technological development, and infrastructure, committed to the continuous incorporation of innovation and excellence. The headquarters of The Institute of Neuroscience is at the Sant Joan d'Alacant campus, dedicated to health sciences. Over 300 researchers are working here, studying the structure, function and development of the nervous system at the molecular, cellular and integrative level, and devote their efforts to advancing the understanding of the biological basis of brain functions and the mechanisms of brain diseases.
