The first day of the NeurotechEU conference began with a presentation by representatives from the University of Debrecen

The delegation from the University of Debrecen is actively participating in the NeurotechEU European university collaboration summit in Turkey. The conference's inaugural day commenced with a presentation by Emil Novák.

Emil Novák, a member of the Enjoy Robotics team, delivered a presentation on the collaborative efforts between the Faculty of Engineering and Enjoy Robotics. Their shared objective is to develop, manufacture, and test various socially acceptable robots, including those for roles such as waitstaff, nurses, receptionists, marketing, and scientific communication.

In addition to showcasing their robots and previous projects, during Novák's presentation, he delved into the research in ethorobotics conducted by Professor Péter Korondi at the University of Debrecen. This research explores the potential for establishing meaningful relationships between robots and humans. Drawing upon observations and research findings related to human-dog interactions, they have been able to form behavioral models for robots.

Emil Novák emphasized that we are currently living in the era of artificial intelligence and intelligent robots. While these technologies can free up time and resources, they can also place mental burdens on many individuals. People often resist change and hesitate to trust systems they don't fully understand. However, it is inevitable that thinking machines will surpass human capabilities in various aspects of life. Therefore, researchers and developers bear the responsibility of creating a safe and reliable future where people can trust and depend on their robotic companions.
